Letterpress: Birthday Negative Space

These cards were so challenging but satisfying to print. I had this idea to bleed a blind deboss across the paper and then call out the main message in ink. My mom needed some cards to give away so I made these specifically as an experiment for her.

The press took a while to set up and get things flowing. it was slow and steady to run each card through several times to get the impression the way I wanted it to be.

The results were worth it. I love the softness of the paper and the grey ink.
