Letterpress: Tropical Leaf Wedding Invitations
One of my childhood best friends is getting married in just over a month. Luckily, I got to contribute to the wedding by designing her wedding invitations! She is planning on having a beach wedding in Cartagena, Colombia so we carried this throughout the invites and thank yous.
Printing was a bit challenging. I ended up doing some different passes to make sure that everything was even. The leaves liked printing clean but the type didn’t like sitting at the same level.
Each piece has a coordinating RSVP & Detail card that was included in the set.
I also made her a ton of wax seals for her envelopes. I ordered a pre-made monstera leaf that fit well with the ones I had illustrated for the invitation.
I made these in bulk and sent them to her in a pack so she could use them as she wanted on invites or goodies for the wedding day.
Ultimately, I used a softer sage wax for the seals. They picked a few different envelope colors as they were finalizing.
The couple was super happy with the invitations, and so am I. I cannot wait to attend the ceremony and see how these elements play out into the day itself.
