Travel: LA & Joshua Tree

I crossed the next little bit of the country to make it out to see my friend Emily!

The night I got to LA, we went to Death & Co. I was so excited to visit another one in the country and that she could join with me for fancy cocktails.

I got the chance to work from her apartment every day and enjoy the sunshine after a day in the office.

One day we went out to Mailbu and had a late lunch together on the water.

She took me to see all the touristy spots like the Hollywood sign.

And we walked around famous spots and popped through Downtown Disney

One day I went to work with her and then we did a horse back riding trip through the Malibu hills.

My horses name was Luke Skywalker and he was so wonderful.

Then we shared some wine at an airtstream airbnb that her friends were setting up

For the weekend we headed over to Joshua Tree. We rented a yurt in the desert.

We hiked around palm springs and joshua tree.

The park was amazing. The little trees were just magical.

We did some desert hiking and made it to see skull rock.

I mean come on! How cool are these‽

We went to see the cholla teddy bear cactus at sunset.

And bright and early the next morning we did a hot springs soak at sunrise.

We did a joint birthday lunch in Santa Monica and saw the very end of Route 66.

And we spent a night south at a friends beach house.

The week was magical and I am so grateful for the time she and I shared together.
