Letterpress: Christmas Cards 2025
Last year’s card was a not to everywhere I traveled over the year and it was a big hit, so I decided to do it again. When I began sketching, I knew most of my travel plans but still had some in the works. The snowflake shape made it easy to keep things isolated into sections so as decisions were made I could add on.
At the top I had Istanbul, with the little cat. Following clockwise was Madiera with the olives and a Santa Cruz lifeguard station & key for my new home. Upside down I drew a greek home with the column. Then I had Egypt with two hieroglyphics meaning N and K for my name. The last one was Belem tower in Lisbon, Portugal! I did do a van trip this year but didn’t include things from it because I wasn’t sure where I was driving.
I love how they all fit together and the different patterns I included. It felt like a great nod to last year, but unique in and of itself. I think I’d like to do one more next year - now I just have to decide the shape to master.
Warm wishes & wanderlust. Sending you joy wherever you land!
